The darkness swirled around the crossdresser, pulsating to the beat of her dying pulse as if waiting for something. A sticky substance clung to Deryn's skin that gave off an odd sort of warmth, and when the "boy" removed his hand she saw that it was blood. The pulsating darkness swirled into a whirlpool of blood down which "Dylan" spiraled through. Dalek Week: 2012!Hey guys!

So this is a journal announcing the dates and getting everyone excited for Dalek Week 2012!! ~

We had a really great week last year so I wanted to get this journal out early so that we can get as many people participating again.

Now, I'm sure many of you know what Dalek Week is, but for those who don't know, Dalek week is a seven day challenge where you upload one deviation per day for seven days. Each day has a certain theme that you will need to centre your entry around. So let's say that first day's theme is Tears, then your entry should be based off of that theme. DALEK WEEK 2012<33Hey guys!:D As most of us(or at least I hope most of us) know, July 8th to July 14th is Dalek Week!
No, not the Doctor Who Daleks, the Leviathan Dalek.

For those who don't know, Dalek week is a seven day challenge where you upload one deviation per day for seven days. Each day has a certain theme that you will need to centre your entry around. So let's say that first day's theme is Tears, then your entry should be based off of that theme.
The folder for the themes to submit your deviations to will be in the :iconAlek-and-Deryn: group. They're the main organizers, I'm just spreading the word :)

Hullo!~ I am stopthattime_rave. You guys can call me Rave (Not my real name, alright?). I draw (A lot.) and read (Famous for this. People know me as "that girl who always has her nose in a book" and I am proud of it!) and sing (but not where others can hear me~). I do digital and traditional art. However, my traditional art might (probably will be) be colorized on the computer (CURSE YOU SCANNER) so there's that.
I like:
*Harry Potter - BOOM EXPLOSIONS AND MAGIC. What's not to like?
*Leviathan - DALEK FOREVER! Plus, STEEEEEAMPUNK. And WW1. Yesss.
*Artemis Fowl - Urban Fantasy at its very best.
*Percy Jackson and the Olympians - Did Rachel just hit the Lord of Time in the eye with a blue plastic hairbrush? Yes, yes she did.
*Heroes of Olympus - Best spinoff EVEREVEREVER. Ever!!! ~~I WANNA CONTROL FIRE TOO! And basically do magic.~~
*The Kane Chronicles - Weird as all the Duat stuck in a blender with humor and drama. (And the Kanes.)
*The Inheritance Cycle - Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance. That's what the whole series is called. Anyway, it's the best fantasy series I have ever read any part of, and that is SAYING something.
*Full Metal Alchemist - It's just freakin' awesome, OK? And hilarious!
and pretty much anything along those lines. ^_^

Most likely you don't remember me. We talked about the Harry Potter and Twilight quote. You recommended Leviathan to me and I recommended the Pendragon series to you.
Let me tell you one thing, LEVIATHAN IS AWESOME! I finished it and I just checked the second one (Behemoth) out of the library. Thank you so much for the recommendation!

I'm glad I like it too! The author is pretty good

I still didn't start Behemoth, but the second I have time, It WILL be read!
Also, for the Pendragon series, I started reading it a year and a half ago. I still haven't finished it! (there are 10 books and they get progressivly thicker) There are too many books in this world!(Definetly a good thing)
Have you ever read the Mortal Instument series by Cassandra Claire? It's another good one to check out. The fifth one in that series is coming out in a week, I'm excited

Are there any other good books/series you would recomend?
